This blog post is meant for the users of MTN Nigeria. It is designed to help the subscribers of MTN Nigeria do transactions by transfering credit from one mobile phone to another.
It is called the MTN Share and Sell. It involves an MTN Nigeria subscriber transfering credit of 50 Naira and above from his/her phone (account) to the phone (account) of another MTN Nigeria subsciber. On a good day, it takes less than 10 minutes for the transaction to take effect, but it can last for several hours.
To transfer airtime from one account to another using the MTN Share and Sell, use the following steps:
1. CHANGE YOUR PIN:
The first step to take is to change your existing (default) MTN Nigeria Share and Sell pin which is usually, but not always 0000. To get a new Share and Sell pin text Defualt (or old) pin (space) New pin (space) New pin again and send it to 777. For example:
0000 4593 4593
2. CONFIRMATION OF THE ALTERATION:
MTN Share and Sell will send a message to you confirming the change if it was successful. Sometimes this message will take a long time to come.
3. DO THE TRANSFER:
Now is the time to do the actual transfer. Just text Transfer (space) The receiver's MTN number (space) The amount (space) Your pin and send it to 777. For example:
Transfer 08010000000 80 4593. MTN Share and Sell will send you a message requesting you to authenticate the transaction. Simply text YES to 777 and the transaction is complete.
